Secondary Antibodies are available as 1mg or 5mg(1ml or 5 ml for agarose conjugated).
Applications:
Non-agarose secondary antibodies are approved for use in western blotting, ELISA, histo- and cytochemistry. Agarose secondary antibodies are approved for use in immunoprecipitation.
All secondary antibodies are validated through assay specific applications testing and by electrophoresis confirming purity and identity. Labels are incorporated by the use of a variety of different conjugation chemistries.
Secondary antibodies offered by Open Biosystems are affinity purified and are offered with a large number of conjugate types (see chart below). In addition, we can produce custom secondary antibodies for specialized use against the tissue of your choice in approximately 2 weeks. Please contact our technical service representatives at 1-888-412-2225 or info@openbiosystems.com for details on custom secondary antibodies.
Goat anti-sheep IgG, IgM, IgA
Affinity purified secondary antibody obtained from the immunization of purified sheep IgG, IgM, and IgA whole immunoglobins into goat. Serum is collected and purified by affinity chromatography against the same purified immunoglobins and negatively adsorbed against common serum proteins and tissue lysates removing other unwanted goat serum proteins.
Goat anti-sheep IgG (gamma specific)
Affinity purified secondary antibody obtained from the immunization of purified sheep heavy chain gamma (IgG) into goat. Serum is collected and purified by affinity chromatography against the same purified immunoglobin and negatively adsorbed against common serum proteins, mu and alpha heavy chains and tissue lysates for removing other unwanted goat serum proteins.
Goat anti-sheep IgM (mu specific)
Affinity purified secondary antibody obtained from the immunization of purified sheep heavy chain gamma (IgG) into goat. Serum is collected and purified by affinity chromatography against the same purified immunoglobin and negatively adsorbed against common serum proteins, mu and alpha heavy chains and tissue lysates for removing other unwanted goat serum proteins.
Goat anti-sheep IgA (alpha specific)
Affinity purified secondary antibody obtained from the immunization of purified sheep heavy chain alpha (IgA) into goat. Serum is collected and purified by affinity chromatography against the same purified immunoglobin and negatively adsorbed against common serum proteins, gamma and mu heavy chains and tissue lysates for removing other unwanted goat serum proteins.
Agarose Conjugated Secondary Antibodies
The affinity purified secondary antibody is obtained from the immunization of purified IgG, IgM, and IgA whole immunoglobins into goat. Serum is collected and purified by affinity chromatography against the same purified immunoglobins removing other goat serum proteins. Antibody is validated through assay specific applications testing and by electrophoresis confirming purity and identity. Goat immunoglobin is covalently bound to agarose through the Fc portion.
