The world’s largest collection of verified full-length, putative full-length, and EST cDNAs
Steps in the Image-MGC clone pipeline:
- The IMAGE consortium arrays cDNA libraries into IMAGE EST cDNA plates and sequences clones at the 5’ end.
- If the expressed sequence tag (EST) contains a probable start codon, the clone is designated “MGC Putative Full-Length” and rearrayed for full-insert sequencing.
- If the full-insert sequence contains the complete coding sequence (CDS), the clone is designated “MGC Verified Full-Length” and rearrayed a second time.
All clones and plates are provided as glycerol stocks.
