The National Institute on Aging (NIA), one of the 27 Institutes and
Centers of NIH, has made available over 22,000 mouse EST clones in two
separate releases, a 15K set and a 7.4K set. The 15K set is made
up of ~15,000 "unique" cDNA clones rearrayed among 52,374 ESTs from
pre- and periimplantation embryos, E12.5 female gonad/mesonephros, and
newborn ovary. Up to 50% of these clones are derived from novel
genes. This library has an average insert size of 1.5kb.
The 7.4K set is made up of cDNA clones with no redundancy within the
set or with NIA Mouse 15K set. Average insert sizes for this set
range from 1.5kb for short insert clones to 2.5-3.0kb for long-insert
enriched clones. The NIA website has comprehensive information

Clones are shipped at room temperature. They may be stored at 4°C for up to one week and at –80°C indefinitely.
