The Zebrafish Morpholino Collection contains hundreds of oligos designed and synthesized to rapidly reduce gene expression levels. Each sequence is designed to block the translational start site of the targeted gene. As morpholinos are synthesized synthetically and are nuclease resistant, the expression level reduction is specific and prolonged. Open Biosystems provides a selection of hundreds of oligos to choose from that ship to you in 48 hours.
Each gene’s start site is identified and a morpholino is produced that is complementary to ~25 bases -25 to +25 bases from the start. Once synthesized, each oligo is confirmed by mass spectrometry, packaged and sterilized for shipment. Each morpholino is provided as 50 nanoMoles of lyophilized product in a glass vial. All morpholinos are available to query and order online (see quey bar above). Simply enter your email address, enter your GenBank accession number or gene symbol of interest and click 'Go' at the bottom of the query. Further details on the specific sequence of the morpholino are available in the ‘Details’ section of the query results. A complete data set can be downloaded.
