With these novel vectors, you wield unprecedented power in gene targeting experiments. Following insertion of the appropriate homology arms, duplications of up to 100 kb and deletions of up to 50 kb can be made, with precision down to a single base pair. This makes it possible to precisely duplicate or delete entire genes in a single experiment. Duplications can also be used to insert reporters, promoters, mutations, or any other sequence of interest into the genome. Finally, the same vector can be switched from duplication to insertion/deletion by simply rearranging the positions of the homology arms. Download schematic for further details.
The complete vector includes:
- Selection marker (choice of neo, hygro, hprt),
- Negative selection marker (TK)
- Linearization sites
- Two multiple cloning sites for oriented insertion of homology arms
