Validated phenotypes of amiRNA over-expressors
Phenotypes of amiRNA over-expressors Compared with Traditional Knock-out Mutants

(A) Clustered trichomes are evident in the leaf rosettes of the try cpc double mutant (center) as well as the amiRNA overexpresser targeted to the trichome gene (far-right) as compare to the wild-type plant (far-left).

(B)
The effects of two different amiRNAs targeting the mads-2 gene are shown. The outer whorls of flowers are transformed into leaf-like structures in the two plants to the right. (Schwab et al. 2006)
(A) LFY (inflorescence). Master regulator of floral identity. The wild-type is shown on the far-left. The middle plant is a lfy-12 mutant. The far-right plant is the amiR-lfy-1 overexpresser.

(B)
GUN4 (seedling). Cofactor in chlorophyll biosynthesis. The wild-type is shown on the far-left. The middle plant is a gun4-1 mutant. The far-right plant is the amiR-white-1 overexpresser. (Schwab et al. 2006)
