Freezer Storage-Open Biosystems supplies the storage system including the
-80° degree freezer(s) and freezer racking system. 

Disaster Recovery-Guaranteed offsite back-up and 100% replacement of the collection due to freezer failure or other catastrophic events. Plate replacements due to lab accidents (dropped plates, automation failures or contamination) are also included.

Site visits per year by Open Biosystems staff to assist the core facility staff in troubleshooting, quality control and technology advancement.

The ‘Open Access RNAi Program’ from Open Biosystems is aimed at enabling the life science community through straight-forward access to the latest technologies developed in the field. As rapid advancements are being made in RNAi technologies, Open Biosystems has created a program to enable large numbers of investigators access to one of the most exciting and important RNAi technologies available through existing core facilities. By enabling the core to concentrate on distributing the shRNA/mir clones and Open Biosystems to focus on technology development & support, we believe researchers will be given the best possible combination of service, value and support.

Participation in the Open Access RNAi Program includes the following benefits:

  • Unlimited access to shRNA/mir libraries by all  researchers within a participating institution
  • Priority access to all extensions and upgrades of the shRNA/mir libraries
  • Web Portal to facilitate querying and ordering program resources to be fulfilled via the core facility
  • Immediate access to a dedicated team of RNAi specialists for superior technical support
 Two forms of the Open Access Program are available:
 
Open Access Unlimited- Unlimited access to all researchers within an institution (even on multiple campuses). All extensions of the resources are included..
Open Access Lite- The Lite Program accommodates the needs of researchers who want to get together upto 15 labs and pool resources to purchase Open Access to a particular collection.
