R&D Scientist I – Genomics

Requirements:

Summary:

The successful candidate for this position will be part of a scientific team responsible for the development of gene expression systems.

Laboratory work:

Training in molecular biology or cell biology with experience in the culture of mammalian cell lines, protein expression and purification is required. Skills with virus production are a plus. The ability to learn, design, perform and document new techniques is required.

The position will report to a senior R&D Scientist. Additionally, the position includes supportive roles in interactions with sales, marketing & technical support. Additionally, skills in managing scientific collaborations with some supervision are a strong plus.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology or other Life Sciences field required
• 3+ years proven successful laboratory experience
• Minimum of 3 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journal
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English required
• Outstanding organizational, planning, process development and interpersonal skills are required.
