Antigenic analysis
Open Biosystems utilizes propriety algorithms called Antigen Profiler and stringent selection criteria to define the best antigenic peptide targets or protein regions for antibody production. Conjugation methodology
Open Biosystems’ multi-directional conjugation methodology produces higher titer antiserum and increases the final utility of antibodies. The conjugation strategy employed for any one peptide depends upon the peptide’s location in the overall protein and the primary amino acid sequence composition. Key sites on the peptide are linked to the carrier to present the peptide in multiple conformations and mimic the presentation of the region in the native protein. Why does this matter? Greater overall success and performance with our antibodies.
SPF production animals
Only SPF rabbits are used by Open Biosystems to produce rabbit antibodies. These rabbits are specifically bred for their immune response, and they provide the cleanest basis for producing antibodies minimizing any problems encountered with pre-immune cross-reactivity.
Purification services
Open Biosystems’ excels in the purification of antibodies taking full advantage of our expertise in affinity chromatography to isolate only the highest affinity antibodies while removing unwanted pre-immune and cross-reactive antibodies. Acidic gradient elutions and proprietary buffers and protocols provide significant advantages over traditional purification strategies ensuring the purified antibodies are not only highly specific but are also unmatched in performance.
