The Boone lab at the University of Toronto has developed a collection of over 4900
Saccharomyces cerevisiae (S288C) Open Reading Frames (ORFs) expressed from its endogenous promoter and tagged with a unique molecular barcode. The MoBY ORF Collection enables simultaneous measurement of all transformants in a single pooled culture using a barcode microarray readout. The collection is available as a complete set as glycerol stocks in 96-well plate format.
Applications:• Genome scale parallel screening
• Discover mode-of-action for drug discovery and mutation screening
Features:• Genome-scale - >4,900 uniquely barcoded ORFs
• Dual barcodes - Increased hit confidence
• Native context - Sequence upstream and downstream of the ORF
• Endogenous promoter - Biologically relevent expression levels
• Easy selection - KanMX resistance cassette on plasmid backbone

| We provide certain clone resources developed by leading academic laboratories. Many of these resources address the needs of specialized research communities not served by other commercial entities. In order to provide these as a public resource, we depend on the contributing academic laboratories for quality control. Therefore, these are distributed in the format provided by the contributing institution "as is" with no additional product validation or guarantee. Thermo Fisher Scientific is not responsible for any errors or performance issues. Additional information can be found in the product manual as well as in associated published articles (if available). Alternatively, the source academic institution can be contacted directly for troubleshooting. |
